How to Reach the Conference Venue

🚆 By Train

Modena Centrale railway station is the primary arrival point:

  • On Foot (approx. 12-15 min): Exit the station and head south toward the city center. The most direct route is along Viale Monte Kosica and Via Berengario.
  • By Bus (approx. 5 min): Several local bus lines (SETA) connect the station to the city center. Look for buses heading towards “Autostazione” or “Centro.”

✈️ By Air

  • Bologna “Guglielmo Marconi” Airport (BLQ): The closest international airport (approx. 40 km from Modena).
  • Connections: * Take the “Marconi Express” monorail from the airport to Bologna Centrale station (7-minute ride). From there, frequent regional and high-speed trains reach Modena in about 20-30 minutes.
    • Alternatively, a direct shuttle bus service (SACA) is available from the airport directly to Modena city center.

🚗 By Car

  • From the Motorway: Take the Modena Nord (A1 Milan-Naples) or Modena Sud exit. Follow signs for “Centro” (City Center) and “Stazione Ferroviaria” (Railway Station).
  • Parking: Please note that the Department is located within a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL). It is highly recommended to park at Novi Park (Parcheggio del Centro) on Viale Achille Fontanelli, which is a 5-minute walk from the venue.
